Hebrews 5:11-6:9 – What We Have Here Is A Failure to Communicate

Hebrews 5:11-6:9 – What We Have Here Is A Failure to Communicate

A teacher once said to his student, “I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I’m not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant!” I think that’s exactly what the author of Hebrews was saying to some of his readers when he called them “dull of hearing.” They were hearing his words but they just weren’t getting it. He might very well have said to them, “What we have here is a failure to communicate!”

In today’s lesson, the author will warn us all of the dangers of not comprehending the great truths he is teaching us in his book. No doubt, it is a matter of eternal life and death that we grasp the message of Hebrews!
