Ram Singh once wrote, “People make mistakes. It’s all part of growing up, and you never really stop growing.” I don’t know that I agree with that statement—especially on a spiritual level– because some people remain stagnant their whole lives, because they don’t learn from their mistakes; they just keep repeating them.
In today’s text, John is going to give us a growth chart that will allow us to measure just how far we have come spiritually since we received Jesus Christ as our Savior. As we look at where we stand on the chart, we should all be encouraged to reach the heights God has planned for us.
