2 Peter 3:14-18 – A Morning Mist that Fades Away

The Greeks had a race where the winner wasn’t the runner who came to the finish line first. The winner was the runner who finished with his torch still lit. Winners in the Christian race of life are certainly not the ones who finish first, but the ones who finish with their light of faith still lit.

In today’s text, Peter will explain to us just how we can run the Christian life in faithfulness to the Lord. For the Lord wants us to be more than just “a morning mist that fades away,” He wants us to be faithful to Him until the day He comes to take us home.
