Acts 10:1-23 – Thinking Outside the Box

Acts 10:1-23 – Thinking Outside the Box

General Robert E. Lee was a devout Christian. Not long after the end of the American Civil War, he went to Washington, D.C., and while there, he attended a local church for communion. During the service he knelt beside a black man. Someone who saw them together asked Lee after the service, “How could you do that?” Lee replied, “My friend, all ground is level beneath the cross.”

What a great lesson to learn—that everyone who is in Christ, regardless of race, is on equal ground. It’s a lesson our Lord will teach Peter in today’s text as he uses a vision of a sheet crawling with animals and bugs to teach Peter to think outside the box of his Jewish racial prejudice.

May God bless our study today in Acts 10,

George
