1 Corinthians 15:1-20 – This Is Not It

1 Corinthians 15:1-20 – This Is Not It

Thomas Jefferson was one of the greatest presidents in the history of our country. He called himself a Christian, but he could not accept the supernatural elements of the Scriptures, especially the resurrection. He edited his own special version of the Bible
in which he deleted all references to the miraculous. When he edited the Gospels, all that were left were the moral teachings of Jesus. He ended his Bible with these words: “There laid they Jesus and rolled a great stone at the mouth of the tomb and departed.” (Illustrations Unlimited, p. 164)
How tragic of a gospel that would be if that’s truly how the story ended. But we know better. In today’s text, Paul will make his case for the absolute necessity for the resurrection for the Christian faith.
For He truly is Risen!!!
