Acts 8:26-40 – Divine Appointment

Acts 8:26-40 – Divine Appointment

Providence is defined as “God’s power that sustains and guides human destiny.” What we call “chance” or “luck” or “happenstance” or “mistake” may very well be God’s providence in action. One of the key ways God works His providence is through “divine appointment.” A “divine appointment” is a meeting between parties that has been orchestrated by the providence of God for His grand purposes.

In today’s text we will watch as God arranges a divine appointment between the great evangelist Philip and the Ethiopian eunuch.  As we look carefully at this meeting, we will see the lengths God will go to fulfill His grandest purpose—the salvation of an individual’s soul.

May God richly bless our study today in Acts 8,
