It was Criss Jami who once said, “The biggest challenge after success is shutting up about it!” Jami is right; we love to brag about ourselves, don’t we? And the Bible is clear that “tooting our horn” about our own successes and good deeds is wrong. But that doesn’t mean that we are never to brag. As we will see in our study today, “biblical bragging” – where we brag about the good things the Lord is doing in our lives – is actually encouraged in the Bible. And we will see why that is true as we look today at the first few verses of 2 Thessalonians.
