Ralph Waldo Emerson once wisely said: “It is one of the most beautiful compensations of this life that no man can sincerely try to help another without helping himself.” That little tidbit of wisdom very closely describes the lesson Paul is trying to teach us in 2 Corinthians 9.
Paul teaches us that one cannot help but be blessed when we bless others. It’s a never-changing Kingdom principle. When we give, “God is able to make all grace abound to us, so that we have sufficiency for all things, an abundance for every good work.” Not only that, He blesses us with fruits of righteousness and joy and peace!
Thanks be to God for His indescribable Gift!
