1 Thessalonians 2 – Our Crown of Joy

1 Thessalonians 2 – Our Crown of Joy

There has never been a truer statement than the old saying, “Joy is the byproduct of obedience.” That’s one of the main lessons in 1 Thessalonians, chapter two. Paul had been obedient to the Lord’s calling, and he had gone to Thessalonica and started a church there and many got saved. And so Paul called the converts there “his crown of rejoicing–his crown of joy.”

God has called all of us, as we go through life on this earth, to make disciples of those men and women He brings into our lives. And there is nothing that will make us happier or bring us more joy than to be obedient to that calling!
