St Francis de Sales once rightly noted, “Some men become proud and insolent because they ride a fine horse, wear a feather in their hat or are dressed in a fine suit of clothes. Who does not see the folly of this? If there be any glory in such things, the glory belongs to the horse, the bird and the tailor.”
Paul will teach us in today’s text that Jesus died for “our glory.” He died so that we could have infinite worth. But it is folly for us to boast in our glory. We have nothing to boast of. It was all His work. So, “He who glories, let him glory in the Lord!”
May God bless our study today,
