Genesis 8:1-12 – God Hasn’t Forgotten You

Genesis 8:1-12 – God Hasn’t Forgotten You

A few years back, a John Hopkins researcher published the a list of the things people most often forget. They forget names 83% of the time; where something is 60% of the time; telephone numbers 57% of the time; words 53% of the time; what was said in a recent conversation 49% of the time; and faces 42% of the time. We forget a lot of things, and because we do, a lot of people assume God must forget things too. Surely, they think, at times, “He has forgotten me.”

As we come to chapter 8 of Genesis it looks as if God has forgotten Noah. But He hasn’t. And as we will learn in our lesson today, God never forgets His children, even though at times from our standpoint here on earth it may feel like it.
