As we continue the story of Abraham today, the Lord is going to pay him another visit. This time He comes for Sarah’s sake; to indirectly tell her that she is going to have a son. But like Abraham, her first response will be to laugh. And the Lord will respond by saying, “Is anything too hard for the Lord?” The answer to that rhetorical question is “NO!” Actually, the literal translation for that question should be, “Is anything too wonderful for the Lord?” The Lord was in effect saying to Sarah through his conversation with Abraham, I am going to do wonderful things for you in the future. What’s true for Abraham and Sarah’s future is true for all God’s children. The Lord has wonderful things He wants to do for each and every one of us!
