Francis of Assisi once was hoeing his garden when someone asked him, “What would you do the rest of the day if you knew the Lord was about to return?” And he replied, “I would finish hoeing my garden!” The reason he could say that was that he was confident that the menial task he was doing was part of God’s perfect will for his life.
Part of having real peace and joy in the Christian life is knowing and living in God’s will. In today’s lesson, we will be looking at the formula Paul gives in Romans 12 that any of us can use to find God’s perfect will for our lives in 2019.
