Genesis 7:11-24 – Culture Shock

Genesis 7:11-24 – Culture Shock

Webster dictionary defines “culture shock” as “a sense of confusion and uncertainty sometimes with feelings of anxiety that may effect people exposed to a different culture or environment.” Just imagine the “culture shock” Noah and his family must have endured living on a boat with a bunch of animals and birds for a whole year, and then to have gotten off that boat and walked onto the face of an earth devastated by a world-wide flood. I’m sure they were deeply confused and uncertain about their future. We’ll ponder their condition today as we look at the last part of chapter seven of Genesis.
