I’m sure you’ve heard the old expression, “What goes up must come down.” But in God’s economy that expression doesn’t necessarily apply, because whenever God comes down things go up and they keep going up.
As we come to chapter 3 of Exodus, life couldn’t have been lower for Moses and Israel. Moses was in the wilderness of Midian thinking he was living out his last few years as a lowly shepherd. The Israelites were laboring hard as lowly slaves of the Egyptians. But God was about to come down and things were going to start looking up…way up… for Moses and the Jews!
