One of the major problems that besets the human race is that we have selective hearing when it comes to the spiritual word of God. In other words, we only hear what we want to and ignore the rest. As we will see in today’s lesson in Genesis 27, all of the main characters had selective hearing. And because of that spiritual issue they caused themselves all sorts of problems in the physical realm of life. We certainly can learn from this story the importance of hearing every single word of God and taking those words to heart as we live for His will.
