Acts 16:35-17:14 – Do You Know What You’re Getting Into?

Acts 16:35-17:14 – Do You Know What You’re Getting Into?

Jesus said in Luke 14:28-29:

28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it — 29 lest, after he has laid the foundation, andis not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him. NKJV

In that passage, Jesus was referring to the cost of discipleship. He was in essence asking the question, “Do you know what you are getting into when you become My disciple.” As we will learn in our study today, that’s a question we need to all ask ourselves before becoming a follower of Jesus Christ. If we fail to understand the difficulty of the path we have chosen, when trouble comes, we will be surprised by it, becoming dismayed, and tempted to quit the race set before us. But as we will also learn today, the path is not only laden with difficulty, it also paved with great reward and blessings!!!!

May God open His word to us today by His Holy Spirit,
