Most of us have a hard time learning from our mistakes, and so we seem to be facing the same trials in life over and over again. Some refer such a pattern as “going around the same mountain over and over again”–much like the Israelites when they wandered in the wilderness for 40 years going around Mount Horeb. But even great men of faith like Abraham at times found themselves going around the same mountain of testing again. That’s exactly what happens to him in today’s text in chapter 20, and as we study this text we can learn about God’s role in repeated trials and our part in breaking the pattern.
Please fill out a visitors form by clicking here. We would like to get to know you and have the privilege of ministering to you and your family.
Just a friendly reminder to please be courteous to others and respect what the Holy Spirit is doing by making sure your phone is on silent. Please keep exiting and entering the sanctuary during the teaching at a minimum. If you have children and do not want to take advantage of our children’s ministry, we ask that you please sit with them in the “Training Room” at the rear of the sanctuary. Thanks for being considerate of others.
