We are told in today’s text that “Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.” It almost sounds as if one day Noah stumbled upon some long lost treasure. But the grace Noah found was his long before he found it. It had been stored up for him by the Lord Himself even before the world was created. As we begin our study in chapter 6 today, we’ll try to figure out just what that grace was that Noah found and how he found it, and how we can find it too, since it is the same gift the Lord has stored up for everyone in every age who walks with Him.
